HOW ARE ORDERS SUBMITTED?

Orders can be placed via phone, email or on the website.Swatch requests may also be submitted via the website, along with general inquiries  regarding colors and product availability for initial planning stages of an event. Replies are sent within 24 hours after an email submittal.

HOW ARE ORDERS CONFIRMED?

Order Confirmations are sent once final selections and quantities have been processed. A credit card must be placed on file for processing a 50% deposit. Confirmations require a signature of the party responsible for payment to Tailored Elements.

WHAT ARE PAYMENT TERMS?

Orders are held with a 50% charge on a credit card.  Remaining balances are charged on the same card prior to delivery.  Damages are also 

applied to the card on file for the event. Net 30 terms are available to registered and approved account professionals.

 

WHAT IF THE ORDER IS CUSTOM?

Custom Orders require final counts and a 50% deposit at the time orders are placed. Fabric availability is checked at  the time proposals are  written. Fabric quantities are held with a deposit placed by the client responsible for payment. Refunds and exchanges are not possible once orders are confirmed by signature and payment. We recommend finalizing custom orders 6-8 weeks in advance of the event.

CAN ORDERS BE CANCELLED?

Order confirmations are placed no less that one week prior to an event and are considered final. Orders cancelled after confirmation and  prior to one week before the event, will be charged a 25% restocking fee. For Prepaid orders, cancellations after confirmation will result as a forfeit of the 50% deposit.

WHAT DOES THE RENTAL FEE COVER?

Rental fees cover the cost of renting the linens as well as the cost of washing and processing. Taxes are applied along with delivery fees and  damage fees incurred during the rental period.

WHAT CONSTITUTES A DAMAGED LINEN?

Damages are assessed after an order is returned to Tailored Elements.  Linens are considered damaged and unusable if there are wax stains;  tears, cuts or burns; excessive soil or mildew. Normal food and wine stains are not considered damages.Replacement costs for damages are  calculated as three times the rental fee of the item.

CUSTOM ORDER PLACEMENT & CONFIRMATION

Custom orders require confirmation of fabric availability; thus, Tailored Elements submits proposals based on availability. Proposals are considered final once written confirmation is received from the party responsible for payment and a 50% deposit is submitted via check, cash or credit card.

 

STOCK RENTAL ORDER PLACEMENT & CONFIRMATION

Stock rental orders require confirmation within 2 weeks of delivery or pick up date. Orders are considered final once written confirmation is received from the party responsible for payment and a 50% deposit is submitted via check, cash or credit card.

PAYMENTS

A deposit fee of 50% is required at the time of proposal or order confirmation. Invoices for custom orders are to be paid in full prior to order delivery.

DELIVERY 

Delivery service requires a confirmed drop off location within 48 hours of desired delivery time. A contact person must be provided and present at time of delivery to sign packing slip. If a contact person cannot be present, written authorization to drop off without signature must be provided at time of location confirmation, in this case the client understands that if any part of the order is lost or stolen in the time between delivery and event start time, the client assumes all responsibility and related replacement fees.  All deliveries within CHICAGO CITY LIMITS are $49. Deliveries outside of Chicago city limits, but within COOK COUNTY are $89. Please CONTACT US for delivery fees outside of cook county or for shipping information. 

PICK UP

Pick up service requires a confirmed pick up location within 48 hours of desired pick up time. A contact person must be provided and present at time of pick up and all linens must be placed in the provided Tailored Elements bags. If linens are not in the provided bags a strike fee will be accessed for the removal and collection of linens from venue. If a contact person cannot be present, details of linen bag(s) location must be provided prior to pick up time, in this case the client understands that if any part of the order is lost or stolen in the unsupervised time before pick-up, the client assumes all responsibility and related replacement fees.  All pick-ups within CHICAGO CITY LIMITS are $49. Pick-ups outside of Chicago city limits, but within COOK COUNTY are $89. Please CONTACT US for pick-up fees outside of cook county or for return shipping information. 

INSTALLATIONS AND STRIKES

Confirmed timeframes are required 48 hours prior to installation and strike.  For installations, all tables or furnishings requiring linen should be set prior to the client provided installation time, if tables or furnishings requiring linen are not set and able to receive their linen in the allotted installation timeframe, usually determined by the client, additional fees will be assessed and calculated based on the number of installers and time exceeded.  All linens are pressed prior to installation, but creases from folds are visible on most fabrics. We do offer on-site steaming services with installation for an additional $5 - $10 per linen (depending on size) and extended installation time is required (determined by final order details). For strikes all tables or furnishings with linens should be cleared prior to the arrival of Tailored Elements' strike team . If they are not cleared due to extended event time, or delays from other vendors impeding Tailored Elements from completing strike within 2 hours of the confirmed event strike time additional fees will be assessed and calculated based on the number of strike crew and time exceeded. All installation and strike fees are calculated on a per event basis please CONTACT US for an installation or strike quote.

CHANGES & CANCELLATIONS

Upon receipt of your order confirmation, if changes are required, please email them to info@tailoredelements.com using your order number as reference. All final changes in quantity must be submitted in writing no later than 5 days prior to the scheduled delivery date.

For net customers, cancellations after final confirmation will be charged a 25% restocking fee. For prepaid orders, cancellations after final confirmation will result as a forfeit of the 50% deposit. Custom orders cannot be cancelled after final confirmation.

 

MISSING & DAMAGED ITEMS

After each order is returned and processed, if there are missing items or damages, an invoice will be sent via email outlining the charges. Missing items can be returned up to five business days after the event with no additional fees. Damages will be charged if linens are lost or unusable due to damages such as, but not limited to, burns, tears, mildew, wax stains, etc. - food stains are not considered damages. Linens are to be returned in bags provided by Tailored Elements so as not to cause irreparable damages. Charges will be applied to the credit card kept on file for the event unless directions otherwise are received in writing prior to the event. Replacement cost is calculated as three times the rental price.
